The Core is designed to work with no account, no cloud service and nothing sent off the device. Collecting less is the most direct route to meeting children's privacy rules such as COPPA.

Processing stays on the device, so there are no cross-border data transfers to manage under laws such as GDPR. Each market still has its own toy-safety and product rules, and our compliance framework tracks them.
Less to operate
No cloud service behind the product means no servers to secure, no user database to protect and no outage that stops play.

An offline device can be opened and inspected. Our aim is for every privacy claim to be something an independent party can check on the hardware.
